Michael J. Monastero

Michael J. Monastero passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. He was 87.
Mr. Monastero of East Norriton was a member of Holy Saviour church. He was employed at
Stroehmann Bakeries for many years retiring in 1993.

Mike was born in Norristown on August 10, 1931 and was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Dakota)
Monastero. Husband of the late Rita (Maniscalco) Monastero. He is survived by his daughter Marilyn, four sons Michael Jr, John (Kathi), Joseph (Judy) and
Robert (Paula). He was all about family and was loved so very much by his eleven grandchildren, Carrie
(Keith) Schreiner, Robert (Michell) Cleary, Frank (Sarah) Bearoff, Rebecca (Lawrence) Palmer, Angela (Brian)
Geiger, Gina Monastero, Amy (Robert) Sundling, Joseph, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua Monastero and six
great grandchildren, Michael and Emma Clelland, Robbie Cleary, Gabby Palmer, Jaxon Geiger and R.J.
Sundling along with Cole and Ellie Schreiner and Hadley and Kevin Stevenson and many nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by his sister Betty Ann.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 31 st from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Volpe Funeral
Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road in East Norriton followed by a memorial service.
Burial will be private.
Family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to a charity of your
choice. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
