Erma M. Durante

Erma M. (Ruch) Durante of Collegeville passed away peacefully on January, 3 2023 at her residence, The Landing of Collegeville.She had been on Hospice since September 2020. Erma was born on August 1,1939, the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Jeffers) Ruch. She was the widow of Dominic Durante Sr. who she spent 45 years with until his death in September of 2008. She was born in Bridgeport Pa and moved to Norristown in her early childhood. She lived in Norristown until she moved to Herford Pa and then Gilbertsville. In May of 2021 she moved into The Landing of Collegeville where She enjoyed the last year and a half of her life. She loved and was loved by all the residents and staff of the Landing. Erma worked as a sales representative at Chatlines Department store in Norristown, McDonalds, a crossing guard for the NASD and watched her grandchildren until she retired. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic, A grandson Dominic III, Sister Barbara, Brothers Thomas and Joseph. She is survived by a sister Catherine Chylack (Leonard), Sons Nicholas (Cynthia), Dominic (Christine), Francis (Sherry) and Anita Fuhs (Matthew) who grew up as a sister to Nick, Donny and Frank and was a special part of Erma’s life. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren Alexis, Thomas, Nicole, Brianna, Marissa,Rachel, Nathan, Gavin, Aurora, Dominic and Joselyn and many nieces and nephews. She was affectionally known as Mom-Mom to many who she loved and loved her. 
 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023 at Volpe Funeral Home 707 W Germantown Pike East Norriton. Friends and relatives are invited from 11:30 to 12:30 with a service starting at 12:30.
