Frank Ciaccio Obituary

Frank "Hank" Ciaccio passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
He was 96. 
Mr. Ciaccio of Norristown was a retired Norristown Police Officer and Montgomery County Detective.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II.
He was a professional boxer and referee and was inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame and Sports Hall of Fame.
He was a member of Holy Saviour church, The Patriotic Order Sons of America, Norristown FOP 31, Americans of Italian Heritage council, International police Association Region 13, County detectives Association of PA, the Regional Association of Campania in PA, USA.
Hank served as the Ambassador of Norristown for 25 years and hosted the Hank Ciaccio show from Norristown high school.
He was the founder of the Christopher Columbus monument project and the Einstein walk and run through the park which benefits cancer patients and families.
Hank was born in Brooklyn New York on November 9, 1923 and was the son of the late Benjamin and Josephine (Musillino) Ciaccio.
He was the husband of the late Dolores (DiGiacomo) Donofrio Ciaccio.
He survived by his son Michael (Estela)Donofrio. Three daughters Joanne Marano, Carol (Richard) Griffith and Mary Ciaccio.
One sister Margaret (Stanley) Leszczynski.
Grandchildren Christen, Anthony, Lauren Williams (Todd), Richard (Victoria). Great grandchildren Tanner and Luciano.
Predeceased by three brothers Anthony, Joseph and James. Three sisters Francis Iacono, Mary Ann Serafine, and Helen DeStefano.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Friday, January 17 at 12 noon in Holy Savior Church, Norristown. Entombment will be in St. Patricks Mausoleum.
Friend may call Friday from 8:30 to 12 noon at the church. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
