Giacomina Fiorentino, 91, of Norristown, entered into heaven on January 4, 2021. Born in Montella Italy, she was the daughter of Rocco and Antonia (Cione) Moscariello. In 1947, Giacomina bravely immigrated to the United States with her husband, Angelo P. Fiorentino, to begin a new life in America. Giacomina and Angelo settled into their new home in Norristown and were happily married for 63 years. Like her husband, Giacomina was a remarkably strong person who overcame many obstacles to provide a better life for her family.
Family would always gather around Giacomina’s kitchen table for a homemade Italian meal that she proudly served to everyone, whether they were hungry or not. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Gaetano Fiorentino (Deborah); her grandchildren: Cara Fiorentino, Andrew Good (Liz), Angelo Fiorentino (Abigail); her great-grandchildren: Marianna and Everly Fiorentino; and two sisters, Immaculata Auriemma and Margaret Battaglia. She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo, her daughter, Carmela Good, her son-in-law, Jack Good, and her sisters: Antoinette Ciccarone and Rosalia Moscariello.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Her funeral mass on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at 10AM in the Holy Saviour Church, Norristown. Viewing will be held from 9:30AM to 10:00AM in church. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Volpe Funeral Home. V
