Irene A. Miller

Irene A. Miller passed away on May 22, 2020 - she was 79. Irene, ("Renie" or “Rinky”) of West Norriton, PA, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Norristown for over 40 years.  Irene was born in Cassville, PA on October 1, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Yankanish. She was the beloved wife of the late Merritt (“Pete”) A. Miller.  She is survived by her sons, Frank (Bethanne) Miller and Donald (Lauren) Miller, and her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Katelyn, Preston, Grayson, Charlotte, Sophie, and Luke.  She lived a carefree life, unselfishly serving others and enjoyed making people feel welcome and loved. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother (“Baba”) and friend.  In addition, she enjoyed watching sports, sewing, cooking, skiing, baking, bowling, crocheting and many different crafts.  She inspired others with her enduring faith and love of Jesus. Irene’s generosity was boundless. She was strong and faithful throughout her life and she will be in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be private for family only, burial will be at the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
