Patrick Anthony Spinozzi passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021 at the young age of 64. Born and raised in Norristown to the late Remo “Ray” Spinozzi and Louise Brown, Anthony spent his entire life in the Norristown area.
A 1975 graduate of Methacton High School, Anthony was a two-sport (baseball and football) athlete and he passed his love of sports and competition onto his family. Our fondest memories include playing basketball in the backyard of his Markley Street home; his overzealous coaching on the sidelines of little league and summer basketball leagues; and the holidays often spent gathered around a big table for a long, raucous meal, with Anthony making sure that everyone had plenty to eat. He had various occupations over the years but is best remembered as the “Fishman” for providing fresh seafood to local establishments and residents in the community.
He is survived by his three children, daughter Adrienne (Kevin Gick), son Anthony (Maria), and son Adam (Katelyn), and five grandchildren, Philip, Greta, Maya, Calli, and Baby Spinozzi. He is also survived by his two brothers, Scott and Chris, his stepmother Connie, a large extended family, and many friends.
Anthony will be remembered for his magnetism, sense of humor, love of gardening, exaggerated stretching routines, epic bedtime stories, “massive calves”, entrepreneurial spirit, and an indescribable charisma that captivated many. He struggled with addictions later in life and we are grateful that he can finally rest in peace. A private service for his immediate family is being planned.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Penn Foundation:
