Pauline Holmes

Pauline (Polly) Holmes born June 2,1928, left this world on December 6, 2022 to be reunited in the afterlife with her husband Richard (Dick) and son Richard Jr (Rick).  Pauline graduated from Norristown High School in 1946, later employed as a bank clerk. She met her husband Richard at the Valley Forge VA hospital where he was recovering from wounds suffered in Korea, marrying July 4,1953. Pauline’s greatest joy was her family and being a homemaker, gardening, bowling with Facenda womens league.
 

She was proud of her family’s military career, husband Richard (Army), son Rick (Navy Seabee) and grandson Ed (Coast Guard). Pauline is predeceased by her mother Sara and stepfather Holden (Tate) Paulhamus, husband Richard, son Richard Jr, brother Holden (Bud) Paulhamus, his wife Eileen, in-law Charles Doran, a number of her husbands family, and longtime friends Nancy Engard and Penny Pennock. Pauline is survived by her daughter Gail Holmes, grandson Edward Sides, sisters Betty Jane (Neal) Nelson, Sally  Doran, brother Joseph (Molly) Paulhamus, and their families. Polly’s loving and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Rest In Peace.
 

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 am January 14, 2023 at Bethel Hill UMC.
