Robert Bean

Robert Bean age 89, born on January 11th, 1932 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 8th, 2022. Robert, a graduate of Bridgeport high school class of 1952, played for the Bridgeport dragons basketball team. Bob was an avid football fan who enjoyed woodworking, cars, trains and spending time with his family. He was a dedicated machinist at Crane Company. During his senior years, he worked at Tel Hai Campground doing various jobs and sharing his love of the Lord. Bob was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Rodenbaugh) Bean. Bob was the beloved husband of Elinor (Jenkins) Bean. Survived by daughter Darlene (Bean) Edlund and fiance Glenn Arters, grandchildren Erik, Odin, Tristan, Gavin, and Nora Edlund. Daughter Donna (Bean) Thompson and Husband Scott Thompson, grandchildren Melissa Thompson. Scott Thompson jr and wife Kelly Thompson. Great-grandchildren, Elora, and Waylon Thompson. Grandson Dan Foxx and wife Lynn Foxx as well as 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Brother Harry Bean. Son in law Danny Clark. Predeceased by stepdaughter Shirley Clark.
 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral viewing on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a prayer service at the Volpe Funeral Home 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd, East Norriton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
