LASH, Thomas E.

Thomas E. (Tom) Lash passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Audubon, PA, at the age of 96 years.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Catherine (Rossi) Lash, two devoted daughters, Judy Russell (husband Steve) and Kathleen Lash, and three adoring grandchildren Jeff Russell (and wife Jess), DaveRussell and Nina Mariel, who lovingly knew him as “Pop”, along with nephews, nieces, in-laws and other family members. Tom was born in Allentown, PA on January 7, 1925, the son of the late Floyd and Lovenia (Brensinger) Lash.  He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

Upon his high school graduation, Tom served in the United States Air Force, and was a proud Veteran of World War II.  Tom graduated from Rider College with a degree in Accounting, and then worked his entire career in the accounting department at the U.S. Steel Company in Fairless Hills, PA and Trenton, NJ.  A large portion of his adult life was spent in Hamilton Township, NJ, where he and his wife raised their daughters, followed by a number of years at Holiday Village in Mount Laurel, NJ, and presently at Shannondell in Audubon, PA.  Tom enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, traveling and trips to Atlantic City.

Interment will be at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.  Donations in Tom’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice, or to The Foundation at Shannondell (Scholarship Fund), 10000 Shannondell Drive, Audubon, PA 19403.
